Well, people are probably wondering “I thought he said there was only one!”. Well, there is only one. Per game series. Anyways, this is pretty much the same as the previous one.

It begins with Etna complaining to Laharl about work conditions. A fight ensues, and she quits her job and attempts to become an overlord herself.

This isn’t really about Etna though, it is about Adell, the only person in the Netherworld to not be affected by Zenon’s curse. Zenon is said to be the Supreme Overlord, and Adell’s goal is to defeat him and restore the people back to being Human. Unfortunately Adell’s ‘mother’ fails at summoning Zenon, and instead they get a demon known as Rozalin. Rozalin turns out to be Zenon’s daughter, which is why the summoning failed.

The adventure becomes comical, as Adell and Rozalin search for Zenon (for separate reasons) and meet the Dark Hero Axel. Axel is just a wash-up of the old days, and nobody really cares about him anymore. They get into several fights, each one more amusing than the last.

In the end, this book is pretty good, but it doesn’t go through the whole story line unfortunately. I give Disgaea 2 a 3/5.
