This was what I was waiting for, after episode 1 which I didn’t really like, I was ready to see episode 2 to see if the series was going to get better. And it did people, I loved this episode!
Sick Kaede
I went into this episode with an open mind and I enjoyed it much. This episode is Kaede’s story and I really dunno. It is kinda just clips from the last series, but it worked. I didn’t really fell like I was watching clips already shown. When I did see them I did remember them, but it wasn’t a bad thing.
For about the first half of the episode, it shows all the flashbacks when Rin and Kaede were young and the death of their parent–or parents in Rin’s case. Also it showed the while psycho Kaede thing. It was all good though, seeing all at once in the right order is just awesome. This part was actually narrated and wasn’t objective from a character.
The second half, again just clips from the series. It seemed to focus on Kaede more, which, for it being her episode, it should. It’s just the way they did it with clips already done and stuff. It was a really good job of twisting what happened to fit her point of view, even though it didn’t really do that to the max. It was just a hint of it here and there. I mean it was still in the narrated way, but it was changed to show more of her as it went though the part when she got sick and when everybody else starts liking Rin and she doesn’t want to give him up.
So overall, this was a good episode. For some reason it clicked well with me and I want to see what else they can do to have the series be like this for the rest of the episodes. It is a pick up, but I think watching Shuffle! would help so you understand a bit more.

This is ridiculous. I can understand 1 or 2 eps of recaps. But an entire series to recap the original series that’s less than 5 years old?? Are you serious?!?!? And to think that the studio actually makes money off of this is just absurd.
