Another day, another episode of S-Strain. After the last episode the series needs to move forward with the plot. We’ve dealt with death long enough. Does this episode move the plot along…kinda…mostly no though.

Trip

This episode started on the enemy side of things. It shows Ralph and Emily walking (so interesting, I know). Ralph is then stopped by this random guy who tells him how hard everybody is working for his STRAIN. Ralph…he doesn’t care and just walks on with Emily.

Things then switch back to where STRAIN training is going on, but not before showing a hole in the ship that starts to glow. Anyway, as soon as the simulation is done Lotti takes off. Going where? Where else to see Sara…only to yell at her. Something or another about breaking formation, blah, blah.

Then we see the purple haired girl, who does have a name Lavinia basically stalking Sara. Then the two guys walk up the Sara. The one who reminds me of the guy from the first episode (I don’t know his name sorry, they don’t say it enough) shows Sara his art. Then…they totally mistake Sara’s art. Then Sara leaves, if someone guessed that bad for my drawing I would too…even though I don’t draw well, enh, oh well.

Back in her room Sara is telling Emily everything about the people and it isn’t in the most positive light. Then what do you know, they all came to do what? Throw a party. Now, of course, the mechanic thinks it’s for him. But hey, a party is a party. Then, just out of no where, Lavinia comes in in a bunny outfit. It seems no one told her about the party, so why is she wearing the bunny outfit? I dunno. She ends up tripping anyway. Then we have a cut to that hole again where the enemy is doing something…evil I would guess.

This is now the time where the one guy makes his move on Sara. He did a decent job too. He gets her to dance with him, but that falls short as soon as he reminds her of her brother. But don’t worry there are flashbacks back to the oh so far away first episode. Hey, at least it ended right before the alarm goes off. It seems the enemy has made their move and the GAMBEEs are useless (they suck, Sara isn’t one anymore, thats why). So, the STRAIN’s are sent with Lotti and Sara to be up front.

After being sent out, no one can find anything. It seems to be empty with no sings what-so-ever. That is until Lavinia finds the hole. Then she is swarmed. The other pilots try to get to her, but they have a lot to deal with on their own. No fear though, it is Sara to the rescue. She saves Lavinia and then brings the rest back to Lotti, where she and Sara preform a duet of killing. Thanks to that the battle is won and no one died.

Back at the party Lavina basically gives her life to Sara. Then Lotti comes up and tells Sara good job and over a handshake. Sara accepts it after a bit and the episode ends.

Overall, it wasn’t bad. It wasn’t good though either. S-Strain seems to have lost its shine it had in the beginning. Nothing is really wow anymore. In the end this really just seemed like a filler episode, and the series isn’t supposed to be long (13 or 14 episodes) so we don’t need fillers. I really just hope it makes a come back and makes one soon.
